KwaZulu Natal Fly Fishing Association is the Provincial Federation of Fly Fishing in KwaZulu Natal. We facilitate the trial events for representative selection to the KZN fly fishing teams . Our events are social where skill development is shared and passed through the structure by top Provincial and National anglers and mentors. We are affiliated to SAFFA, the National Body of Fly Fishing in South Africa.

KZNFFA also presents various workshops offered by National team anglers and coaches, as well as social fishing days during the year. Anglers are invited to register for the annual season of organised fishing sessions and social fly fishing interaction. Email the secretary on info@kznffa.org.

KZNFFA is  involved in community projects, bringing fly fishing, fly tying and the need for Conservation to those interested in the more rural Communities. KZNFFA  initiated the Thendela Fly Fishing Project in the Kamberg Valley where an enthusiastic rural community has embraced fly fishing and set about rehabilitating their own stretch of the Mooi River. This is now open for visiting anglers.

Please contact Richard Khumalo on 073 287 2947 or Trevor Sithole 079 857 2742 for more information or to enjoy fishing in the area.  http://www.thendelaflyfishing.co.za

Rising star Trevor Sithole from Thendela was highlighted in a short film shot and edited by Matt Gorlei (KZN & Protea Angler) under his FLYBRU brand. The film won South African Fly Fishing Film of the year 2017.  View it here.
