About us:

KwaZulu Natal Fly Fishing Association is the Provincial body of Fly Fishing in Kwazulu Natal which regulates and controls our beautiful sport in the province. We are affiliated to SAFFA, the National Body of Fly Fishing in South Africa which has representation at government level for all fly anglers, both recreational & competitive. We in turn, are happy to represent ALL KZN clubs and their members who wish to affiliate to us therefore creating growth through development in accordance with guidelines set by the Dept. of Sport & Recreation.

KZNFFA is a non-profit organisation run by a committee, which is selected by means of a vote at our AGM and it is our duty to host regular trials for registered members interested in participating in our KZN league. All Members have to, primarily, be members of a recognized KZN Fly Fishing Club to enable registration to the league. League members may also participate in Inter-Provincial events and yearly KZN Teams are selected, based on accumulated points, to represent the Province at the annual National Events.

CLINICS:
Our dedicated committee puts together development clinics for those wishing to improve their basic skills and assists those who wish to progress further into competitive angling. We have fishing categories for Senior Men, Ladies and Juniors (12 – 18years) and participate in both Stillwater and River fly fishing.

KZNFFA is pro-active in Junior development and is currently on a drive to develop some of our “fairer sex” in the art of fly fishing. 2009 saw the first Ladies Development team attending the National event at The Bend in the KZN Midlands. Our group of regular anglers have shared in their knowledge and developed a great passion for this beautiful sport. Our dedicated Juniors are progressing into skilled and competent young anglers on the water with knowledge of the environment, entomology and ethos of fly fishing.
